Returns & Refunds

It is the customer’s responsibility to check that all details on the order are correct.

Any customised or adjusted products are non refundable. If you find your goods are incorrect, faulty or damaged please contact us immediately.

We will offer you either the choice of an exchange of faulty part or collection with a refund. If you have your product delivered and change your mind, we will offer you a choice of either an exchange or collection and a refund of the goods.

Cancellation

This will incur a cancellation charge of up to 50% of the item value and an additional delivery/collection charge.

You must notify us in writing within 7 working days of receipt of your purchase.

Postage & Packaging

PLEASE NOTE:ORDERS PLACED FROM 17TH DECEMBER ONWARDS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED TO ARRIVE BEFORE THE 25TH DECEMBER.

Postage and packaging costs will be added to the value of your order, which you can view prior to purchasing based on the actual cost of shipping with our preferred carriers.

The actual cost of shipping depends on the Destination of the items being purchased. Delivery times are also variable depending on the shipping option chosen at the time of checkout. These are clearly shown to give customers the widest possible choice.

Packaging costs are included as part of the Postage and Packaging charge.

We reserve the right to change special offers on postage and packaging at any time.

Delivery Policy

Hughes Health & Safety will deliver to the whole of the UK and Ireland. We can also deliver internationally on request. Please contact us for an international orders before placing your order to discuss your needs.

All packages will be sent via Royal Mail or a private courier service. Whilst all care is taken when packaging goods, should anything in your package be damaged during transit please advise us  within 2 working days of receipt of goods to discuss your situation.

Any damaged products that are of fault of Royal Mail or the private courier need to be left as they were delivered to you and taken to your local office.

All Postage and handling costs are based on your destination.

We endeavour to have all orders dispatched within 3 workings days of your order being placed once payment has cleared into our account. If/when stocks are low, delivery may be delayed.

If your order is urgent we strongly suggest you contact us to discuss your needs first to make sure that the products will be available in time for your required date before your order is placed.

Hughes Health & Safety – Online Privacy Policy

Hughes Health & Safety has established this Privacy Policy (Last Updated, October 2015) to explain how it protects and manages the personal information that it collects from you (the customer) online.

1. Consent for Collection, Use and Disclosure
Your use of the The Hughes Health & Safety site and/or your registration for Hughes Health & Safety products and services constitute your consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Hughes Health & Safety site.

A customer may withdraw his or her consent for collection, use and disclosure at any time by sending an email to info@hugheshs.co.uk.  Please note that, if you do, Hughes Health & Safety may suspend its provision of products and services to you.  When you unsubscribe, if you fall within the guarantee period for any Hughes Health & Safety product and you request a refund, the guarantee will be honoured.

2. Accountability
Hughes Health & Safety collects, at the time of your registration and your sign-on to its web site, certain “personal information” (information that personally identifies you) including but not limited to your name, email address, home or work address, telephone number, and information about your computer hardware and software (e.g., IP address, operating system, browser type, domain name, URL, access times, and referring web site addresses).
Hughes Health & Safety has implemented this Privacy Policy to protect personal information received from its customers, and to respond to any inquiries.  The Privacy Policy also provides that Hughes Health & Safety will use appropriate contractual means to establish a comparable level of protection for personal information which is sent for processing by third parties on Hughes Health & Safety’s behalf.
Hughes Health & Safety has designated responsibility for your personal information to its Privacy Officer, who ensures compliance with the principles in this Privacy Policy.  Other Hughes Health & Safety individuals may be delegated to act on behalf of the Privacy Officer.

Your information may be stored and processed in the United States, or in any other country in which Hughes Health & Safety or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities.  By using this web site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.

After your account becomes inactive (that is, if you request to be removed from our database), Hughes Health & Safety will keep your personal information in its archives.  Your information will then be used only as necessary for tax reasons or to prove Hughes Health & Safety’s compliance with any applicable law.

If Hughes Health & Safety is not able to provide access to some aspect of a customer’s personal information, it will provide reasons for denying access such as; that by doing so would likely reveal personal information about a third party, or that it is confidential commercial information or attorney–client privileged communications, or that the information relates to a breach of an agreement or a contravention of law, or that its disclosure could reasonably be expected to threaten the life or security of another individual.

Customers have the right to request that inaccurate or incomplete information be amended as appropriate, by contacting Hughes Health & Safety or the Privacy Officer as described above. Hughes Health & Safety will promptly correct such personal information

Tax
All prices quoted are inclusive of all UK taxes. It is the responsibility of customers residing outside the UK to pay any extra taxes due on the goods and we will not accept responsibility for any action taken by customs in your country. It is a requirement in the UK to include a customs docket, which notifies the customs authorities of the goods contained within the package.

Purchasing products online
Purchasing our products online couldn’t be easier. Just browse our Catalogue under our products section, and click on any items that you wish to buy. You then follow the staged process of adding them to the shopping cart and proceeding to the checkout.

An email confirming receipt of your order will be sent from Hughes Health & Safety, and this will provide a unique order reference.

Online Payment Methods
Payment Processing
We will undertake a standard set of credit checks prior to authorising your order to ensure the authenticity of your credit card and delivery address. We reserve the right to request additional proof of identify, where we deem necessary, especially where the goods are requested to be delivered to a different address to that of the credit/debit card holder. We operate a 5 day deferred of payment system where we need to investigate suspicious transactions.

Where we find that the additional identity or proof of address details cannot be confirmed, we reserve the right not to process the order/payment.

Order & Dispatch Process
Once an order has been received, you will automatically receive a confirmation email from Hughes Health & Safety, confirming receipt of order as well as order details.

We will endeavour to dispatch orders 1st class mail on the day of receipt of order (subject to the item being in stock). A confirmation email response will be sent by email to confirm that the item has been dispatched.

If we do not have your order in stock, we will tell you by either email or telephone at which point we can advise when the item will come into stock and discuss whether you require to cancel that part of the order or wait until it comes into stock.

Returns, Cancellation and Refund Policy
If you receive any product which is damaged or faulty we ask you to notify us within 14 days of receipt. We will subsequently advise of the method of returning the goods. We will pay for the return postage for faulty or damaged goods.

We will accept back any goods which are not satisfactory for any reason for a full refund providing they are in an un-used, un-opened and in an ‘as new’ condition within 10 days from the day after you receive the goods.

We reserve the right to stop repeat orders from customers who abuse this returns policy.

You also have an unconditional right to cancel your order within 7 working days from receipt of the goods without giving a reason and we will then refund your money as soon as possible but within 30 days of your cancellation and return of the goods. The cost of postage & packaging for returning the goods will be charged to the customer.

The above does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Special Offers
Hughes Health & Safety will regularly be running special offers on specific product lines for limited time periods. These will be highlighted in emails that opted-in customers receive and will be highlighted on the website. We reserve the right to change these at any time.

Gift Vouchers FAQ

Purchasing Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are purchased just like any other item in our store. You can pay for them using the stores standard payment method(s). Once purchased the value of the Gift Certificate will be added to your own personal Gift Certificate Account. If you have funds in your Gift Certificate Account, you will notice that the amount now shows in the Shopping Cart box, and also provides a link to a page where you can send the Gift Certificate to some one via email

How to Send Gift Certificates

To send a Gift Certificate you need to go to our Send Gift Certificate Page. You can find the link to this page in the Shopping Cart Box in the right hand column of each page. When you send a Gift Certificate, you need to specify the following. The name of the person you are sending the Gift Certificate to. The email address of the person you are sending the Gift Certificate to. The amount you want to send. (Note you don’t have to send the full amount that is in your Gift Certificate Account.) A short message which will appear in the email. Please ensure that you have entered all of the information correctly, although you will be given the opportunity to change this as much as you want before the email is actually sent.

Buying with Gift Certificates

If you have funds in your Gift Certificate Account, you can use those funds to purchase other items in our store. At the checkout stage, an extra box will appear. Enter the amount to apply from the funds in your Gift Certificate Account. Please note, you will still have to select another payment method if there is not enough in your Gift Certificate Account to cover the cost of your purchase. If you have more funds in your Gift Certificate Account than the total cost of your purchase the balance will be left in your Gift Certificate Account for the future.

Redeeming Gift Certificates

If you receive a Gift Certificate by email it will contain details of who sent you the Gift Certificate, along with possibly a short message from them. The email will also contain the Gift Certificate Redemption Code. It is probably a good idea to print out this email for future reference. You can now redeem the Gift Certificate in two ways.

1. By clicking on the link contained within the email for this express purpose. This will take you to the store’s Redeem Gift Certificate page. You will then be requested to create an account, before the Gift Certificate is validated and placed in your Gift Certificate Account ready for you to spend it on whatever you want.

2. During the checkout process, on the same page that you select a payment method there will be a box to enter a Redemption Code. Enter the Redemption Code here, and click the Redeem button. The code will be validated and the amount added to your Gift Certificate Account. You can then use the amount to purchase any item from our store.
